When it comes to Rice,then people can be quite choosy given the infinite options available these days.But sometimes things can get as boring as the fact that we need to “invent” something for near and dear ones to enjoy.My Bell Pepper-Paneer Rice is bound to do just that with its wonderful aroma and unforgettable taste.Its a hit in parties,easy dinners and lunch boxes.Makes rice taste even better with the Masalas and gives you comfort food at your fingertips.Lets check it out…
Preparation Time – 30 minutes
Makes – 2-3 servings
1 1/2 cups rice
1 Bell Pepper/Capsicum – sliced
1 Onion – sliced
200 gms Paneer – sliced
Salt to taste
2 tsp Kitchen King Masala (readily available)
2 tsp Shahi Paneer masala (readily available)
2 tbsp Oil
Steam the rice in a Pressure Cooker or boil it.Keep aside
Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions.Saute till translucent and add the Bell Peppers and Paneer.
Adding the Bell Peppers to the Onions..
Add the Masalas and salt. Close lid and cook till the Bell Peppers are soft and Paneer takes on the flavors of the spices.
Adding the Paneer..
Keep aside to cool.
After the Bell Pepper-Paneer mix has cooled,spoon out the rice into this.Mix well with a spatula ensuring the rice grains do not break.
Mixing the rice with the Masala..
Serve hot with any raita,yogurt or with some pickle.
