Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Thawing time : 15 – 20 minutes

Makes : 6 Filo Rolls

INGREDIENTS

1 pack Fruit and Nut Chocolate bar (Dairy Milk Silk or whichever you like)

6 sheets Filo Pastry

1 egg

1 tbsp powdered sugar

1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Powder

Oil to fry

METHOD

Thaw the frozen sheets for 15 – 20 minutes so that they come away neatly.Mix the cinnamon powder with the sugar and keep aside till needed.

Cut the chocolate bar into 6 mini bars.In fact you can cut at the lines separating each row of cubes. For me it was 3 cubes per line and that I counted as a mini bar.

Beat the egg in a bowl.Lay a sheet of filo on a chopping board or countertop and brush with the egg. Then lay another sheet on top and brush again.Repeat till all the 6 sheets are used up.

With a sharp knife cut the prepared pastry sheets into 6 equal squares.

Heat Oil in a pan.Moisten each filo square with some water by using a brush or your hand.Place each mini bar of chocolate on one side and roll up.Moisten one side of the roll and stick the overlapping edges to seal the roll completely.Repeat with the other square as well.Fry on medium heat till crisp and golden brown.

You need to work quickly as the Filo Pastry tends to brown very fast.If you want you can pan fry the rolls as well. For a bigger indulgence deep fry the chocolate rolls.

Remove to an absorbent paper and sprinkle the prepared Cinnamon Sugar.Best served warm!

NOTE : If you do not want to use the egg then brush the sheets with milk or water.
