Whole Wheat and Soya Pancakes

These Pancakes are Classic – healthy and wholesome with fresh ingredients and with as less oil as possible.Served at breakfast they make a lovely meal.Best served with your favorite pickles or chutneys.

Preparation Time – 30 minutes
Makes – 7-8 Pancakes

INGREDIENTS

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Organic Soya Flour
Salt to taste
Water as required
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp chopped Dill Leaves(Sua Bhaji)
1 onion finely chopped
1 tsp Turmeric Powder(Haldi)
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder(Dhania)
Oil as required

METHOD

Mix both the flours in a bowl.Mix all the spices – turmeric powder,red chili powder,coriander powder and salt.Add water as required and mix into a thick pancake batter.It should be thicker than dosa batter.Add the Onions,Coriander and Dill to the batter.Mix very well to blend the ingredients nicely into the batter.

On a tava or griddle heat a tsp of oil.Spread a ladle ful of the batter to form a pancake.Cook it on both sides on medium heat till golden brown and crisp.Serve hot.

Organic Soya Flour is got in many big stores.If you do not have it you can also use other flours like Nachni or Bajra.
