This is a simple and delicious roti which does not require much effort and can be made in minutes.Also the addition of spices and Coriander make it very delicious to have with pickles,stir-fried vegetables or Raitas or with some yogurt.
Preparation Time – 15 minutes
Makes – 12 Rotis
INGREDIENTS
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour(Atta)
2 cups Garbanzo Bean Flour(Besan)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds(Jeera)
1 tsp Black Pepper powder
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Coriander leaves
Warm water as required
Oil to pan fry
METHOD
Sift and mix both flours together.Add the salt,jeera and pepper and mix well with hands.Now add coriander leaves and oil and mix with fingertips till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.Add water as required to make a soft but pliable dough.
NOTE – If you find the job messy then use a food processor.
With the help of more Atta roll into Rotis.Heat a tava(griddle) and lay a roti on it.Let it cook on one side and flip it over.Apply a tsp of oil on the cooked side.Once the other side gets cooked repeat the process.Cook both sides the same way.
Make all Rotis the same way.
Serve hot with Pickles,Vegetables,Raita or Chutneys.
Served with homemade Green Chili Pickle..
