Black Grape Milkshake (Using Almond Milk)

The other day I posted about making your own Almond Milk at home which gives you tons of benefits and is an excellent substitute for diary milk for the lactose intolerant.Here is the recipe for reference :

So here I present a delicious Milkshake which can be made with Black Grapes which are currently in season!Its a great tasting drink and an option for body builders who love to have proteins and nut shakes after workout!Proud to present this recipe at the Shhhhh Cooking Secretly Challenge!

Priya gave me Oats and any fruit and here is the nutritious yet delicious outcome!Oats provide nutrition and a “body” to this shake while the other ingredients enhance the taste!

Preparation Time : 45 minutes

Makes : 2 servings

INGREDIENTS

100 gms black grapes (around 1/2 cup)

1 1/2 cups Almond Milk (see recipe on top)

2 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp Oats (instant/rolled/steel cut)

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 – 3 dried black raisins (optional)

METHOD

Powder/dry grind the oats coarsely and keep aside.Take the grapes,sugar and 3 – 4 tbsp water in a saucepan and stew the grapes till tender.Cool to room temperature.

In a blender add all the other ingredients (except the black raisins) and the stewed fruit and blend till thick.

Pour into serving glasses and drop 2 – 3 black raisins into the Milkshake.

Serve chilled or cold.
