Apple Celery Revitaliser

Apple Celery Revitaliser

Summers are here in India and we badly crave for liquids to refresh and replenish our bodily reserves. We have very intense summers here where so many minerals are lost from the body. One of the main liked beverages are the milk-shakes – mango,strawberry,chickoo..name it you have it.
This is a very unusual beverage but once you taste it you will lose your heart to it as we did.It is made in minutes, has NO labor to be done and more than refreshes revitalizes you and makes you lose all the fatigue and tiredness after especially tiring  or heavy work.Celery comes in the “negative calories” list and has all the goodness which you want and require.Combined with Apple with milk for base it provides a complete nourishment chart by itself.

We do not get Celery much in India but its available in big stores and supermarkets.I rarely get it as it gets sold very fast but buy it as and when I can. This beverage is the latest addition to the liquids we drink in place of tea or coffee. If you cannot get Celery try Bottle Gourd/Laukee/Doodhi skin and seeds removed and boiled in water till soft.Add this to the blender. Both make excellent choices for thirst quenchers in summer!

Before blending – the Apple and Celery in Milk…

Blend till smooth. Some of the celery stalks might not be fully ground. For a smooth taste strain the liquid through a soup strainer into a jug.(I did not strain ours as we loved a few celery bits in our mouth).Garnish with some Celery stalks and leaves.Serve chilled!
